The Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Frontend React Developer to build multiple customer-facing applications from the ground up. This isn't about maintaining legacy code — you'll be architecting and shipping new products that directly impact how utility networks serve their customers and how landlords manage their properties.
You'll be building several interconnected applications: a consumer app for users to monitor their utility usage and pay bills, a landlord dashboard for portfolio-wide property management, billing and payment interfaces, and real-time data visualizations from our proprietary metering hardware. Each app presents unique technical challenges and opportunities to make a real difference.
What You'll Do
- Build multiple React applications from scratch — consumer app, landlord dashboard, hardware integration interfaces
- Make architectural decisions that will define our frontend for years to come
- Design and implement real-time data visualizations for utility consumption and hardware metrics
- Create intuitive, responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across different user personas
- Integrate with our backend APIs and real-time data streams from IoT hardware
- Ship features rapidly and iterate based on customer feedback
- Work closely with founders, backend engineers, and customers to shape product direction
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with strong React expertise
- Deep knowledge of TypeScript and modern React patterns (hooks, context, state management)
- Experience building complex, data-heavy applications that users rely on
- Comfortable working with real-time data, data visualization libraries, and responsive design
- Track record of making architectural decisions and shipping production applications
- A bias for simplicity and pragmatism — we value solving problems cleanly over chasing shiny tools
- Comfortable taking ownership of entire features from design through deployment
- Collaborative: enjoys working with product, backend engineers, and speaking to customers
- Happy to move fast, get hands dirty, and solve problems wherever needed
- Available to start as soon as possible
